Quick Oats – Organic

Description

Oats provide whole grain goodness. They are a good source of protein and dietary fibre, including soluble beta-glucan.
Oats are a complex carbohydrate with low glycaemic index and an excellent source of vitamins and minerals.

HOW TO COOK – 
Microwave method

Add ½ cup GPO Quick Oats and ⅔ cup of skim milk or ¾ cup of water to a microwave-safe bowl.

Cook on HIGH for 1½ minutes, then stir.

Cook for 1 minute more.

Serve into bowls and add your favourite toppings for a delicious and wholesome start to your day.

To serve 2, use 1 cup of Uncle Tobys Quick Oats and 1½ cups of water or 1⅓ cups of skim milk. Cook for 2 minutes, stir, then cook for a further 2 minutes.

To serve 3, use 1½ cups of Uncle Tobys Quick Oats and 2¼ cups of water or 2⅔ cups of skim milk. Cook for 3 minutes, stir, then cook for a further 3 minutes.

Stovetop method

Place 1½ cups GPO Oats as well as 3½ cups of skim milk into a thick based saucepan.

Bring to boil, stir, then boil for 1 minute until the oats are thick and creamy.

Add a dash of skim milk after cooking. Serve into bowls and add your favourite toppings for a delicious and wholesome start to your day.

Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
