Ingredients
INGREDIENTS
- 500 g Grandma's Pantry GF Soft Bread Mix
- 2 teaspoons dry yeast
- 450 ml water
- 10 g butter or oil
Instructions
Prepare
- Preheat oven to 210 degrees C, 200 degrees C fan forced. Grease a 21-25cm by 7cm high loaf tin or comparable sized tray.
Mix
- Combine the water, butter and yeast in a bowl. Add the GF Soft Bread Mix. Mix for 1 minute on low speed using the beater attachment. Scrape down the bowl and mix for a further 4-5 minutes on medium speed until smooth and well combined.
Prove
- Spoon the batter into the prepared tin. Allow to prove until the dough rises to the top of the tin. This is a batter-style dough rather than a kneadable dough - it will look wetter than expected. This is correct.
Bake
- Bake at 210 degrees C for approximately 35-40 minutes until deeply golden. Turn onto a wire rack and cool completely before slicing.
Notes
SLICING: Allow the loaf to cool completely before slicing. Cutting while warm causes the crumb to compress and the loaf loses its structure.
